Lindy Severns brings a pilot’s perspective to the land and sky of west Texas. She worked along side her husband, Jim, as co-pilot, for many years as the two flew corporate planes. Long before her aviation career she showed an affinity for art and a talent for accurately capturing the nuances of the colors and tones of the American West. After retiring as pilots, Lindy and Jim, moved to the Fort Davis area where she has flourished as an artist. Working in the difficult and unforgiving medium of pastel, Lindy spends much of there time sketching and photographing in the field before she retreats to her studio to produce highly detailed pastels that are reflective of her love of the west Texas landscape.
